Mountain View based businesses impacted by the Covid-19 Pandemic are encouraged to apply for the Covid-19 Small Business Loan Program from the City of Mountain View in partnership with Main Street Launch. Applications will be evaluated on a first come, first served basis. Loans will be provided to approved applicants until funding is exhausted.

To Be Eligible, Your Business Must:

  • Be applying for Mountain View rental properties
  • Own no more than nine (9) rental units in total, including across multiple properties and/or in multiple jurisdictions (if applicable)
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 25% loss of gross rental income due to tenants being unable to pay rent due to COVID-19
    • Loss of income must have occurred as of March 17, 2020 (when City adopted the Emergency Declaration)
  • Have a mortgage for the property. Landlords with properties owned free and clear do not qualify for this program
  • Be in good standing with the City, such as:
    • No code violations
    • No liens on the property
    • In compliance with the CSFRA
    • Current business license for five or more units

Loan Details Include:

  • Up to $10,000
  • 0% Interest, no fees, no collateral
  • Up to 3 year terms (Small Landlord Relief Loans up to 1 year)

Eligible Loan Uses Include:

  • Equipment / Inventory
  • Mortgage Payments, Insurance Premiums, Property Tax, Etc.
  • Working Capital (including rent, utilities, payroll, supplies, etc.)
