WELCOME TO THE COUNTY OF ORANGE SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF PROGRAM


Businesses and non-profits located within Orange County’s District 4 Cities of Anaheim (portions of), Fullerton, and La Habra that have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to $10,000 from the County of Orange.

Businesses applying for the Grant Program must meet certain eligibility criteria. All grants are subject to underwriting and approval. Please note that due to limited funds, not all applications submitted will receive funding.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE APPLICATION, PLEASE READ THE FAQ DOCUMENT AND THE INSTRUCTIONS / REQUIREMENTS BELOW.


Before you start, please note:

  • Beginning on Saturday August 1st at 12:00 P.M., applications will be accepted on a first come, first funded basis (within each city’s allocation). The program will permanently close on Saturday, August 22nd at 5:00 P.M. or when each city allocation is exhausted, whichever occurs first. Applicants/businesses awarded prior city or county grants under Phase 1 of this specific grant program are not eligible to apply again.

  • You will only be able to upload documents if you are determined pre-eligible based on your answers to the Application questions.

  • You can return to your application once you start it if you select Finish Later and not Submit it – once submitted, you cannot modify.

  • Applications must be COMPLETE to be considered for funding.

Application Process

Step 1. Is your Business Eligible to Apply?

To be eligible, your business must:

  1. Be an existing For-Profit business or Non-profit organization located within the District 4 cities of Anaheim (portions of), Fullerton, or La Habra.
  2. Be able to demonstrate adverse impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. At least one must be true: 1. Your business or non-profit was forced to close, 2. You had to lay-off one employee, or 3. Your revenue or sales declined 25% or more.
  3. Home based businesses and home based non-profits are NOT eligible for the grant
  4. Businesses or non-profits with more than 25 employees as of March 1, 2020 are NOT eligible for the grant.
  5. One award per business owner
  6. Franchise owners are eligible for only one award
  7. Also, businesses or non-profits must be eligible to receive Federal funds. Gambling, cannabis dispensaries and adult entertainment businesses are ineligible for this grant

Eligible grant uses can include:

  1. Accounts payable, insurance, and utilities
  2. Inventory and working capital including Personal Protective Equipment
  3. Facility cleaning & restoration
  4. Rent or business mortgage payments
  5. Employee payroll not already supported by Payroll Protection Program

Step 2. Go to the application link below and complete the application questions. If you are eligible, you will then proceed to upload the required documents and complete the remaining forms with your application.

As part of the application process, you will be required to upload the following documents, please have them ready:

  1. Two Bank Statements: Your business or non-profit October 2019 and April 2020 bank statements.
  2. Employee List: A list of all your employees by name and position on February 29, 2020 and another one from April 30, 2020.

Step 3. Complete the following during the application process:

  1. County of Orange Grant Agreement
  2. Federal Tax W9 Form with your Employee ID Number (EIN) or Social Security Number
  3. ACH Form requiring your business bank account routing information
