Main Street Launch Small Business Finance is thrilled to host the Alameda County Small Business Development Center. Our partnership and dedication to increasing access to capital for entrepreneurs is part of what aligns our work. We’re thrilled to share some of Alameda County SBDC’s 2015 impacts:
- In 2015, ACSBDC served 438 businesses with one-to-one business consulting services.
- These businesses created 296 new jobs and retained 135 at-risk positions.
-
- These businesses achieved $14.4 million in sales above their prior year sales levels (the highest sales on record of ACSBDC-supported businesses).
- In 2015, 56 ACSBDC clients raised over $22.2 million in new loans and equity (another record).
The Alameda County SBDC operates with a large team of business experts: two central staff who operate from Main Street Launch’s offices and 17 consultants who work directly with the clients to help them grow and succeed. In addition to the achievements noted from the businesses that took advantage of one-to-one advising, Alameda County SBDC hosts trainings for small business owners. In 2015, their Access to Capital event during Oakland Small Business Week drew over 200 people, in sessions held in three languages. ACSBDC also hosted a Food Entrepreneurship Training Academy at the Hayward Adult School that graduated over 30 entrepreneurs launching new food businesses.
