For the past 20 years, Adrian has dedicated his career to cultivating strong, enduring relationships with entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In his previous role as a Banker and Licensed Financial Specialist at a community business bank, he played a pivotal role in supporting local small businesses by helping them secure the financing necessary to sustain their operations or achieve growth. His work directly contributed to the vitality of the small business ecosystem in the region.
Throughout his tenure in the banking sector, Adrian also took on the role of a connector within the entrepreneurial community. He regularly referred business owners to trusted resource partners such as OBDC Small Business Finance (Main Street Launch), AnewAmerica Community Corporation, Youth Business America (YBA), and ALAS, the Spanish-language program of the Women’s Initiative. These connections provided clients with access to technical assistance, education, and additional support services to help strengthen their businesses.
In addition to his professional work, Adrian has demonstrated a strong personal commitment to financial education. He volunteers his time to lead financial literacy workshops in collaboration with several nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on serving the Hispanic community. Through these efforts, he has helped hundreds of individuals improve their understanding of personal and business finances, empowering them to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City. His understanding of small business dynamics is deeply rooted in personal experience—his father owned and operated a mechanic garage for over 40 years, while his mother ran a successful beauty salon. Growing up in Mexico City surrounded by small business owners, Adrian gained firsthand insight into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
Before joining Main Street Launch as Vice President-Relationship Manager, Adrian served on the organization’s Board of Directors, contributing his expertise and insights to guide strategic decision-making. He now brings that same passion and dedication to his current role, where he continues to work toward expanding access to capital and resources for underserved entrepreneurs.
Adrian currently resides in Oakland, California, where he enjoys life with his daughter & dog.
