Mayra is responsible for aligning organization objectives with employees and management. She serves as a consultant to management on human resources related incidents. Overall, she is here to support Main Street Launch and encourage employee success.


Mayra has over eight years of experience in Higher Education. She has worked in outreach to help support low income first generation college students achieve a post-secondary education, worked supporting undergraduate students to navigate resources to achieve their goals, and assisted graduate students to make strategic transitions to enhance their career.


Being a first generation college student and a native Oakland resident she values and encourages everyone to achieve their personal and educational growth. She has a B.A. in International Relations a B.S. in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis. Mayra also holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and her MBA from Golden Gate University. She has continued to grow in her field by holding an array of positions in Human Resources and Audit and is now thrilled to continue to grow in an organization that brings such a positive change to her community.


Outside of work, Mayra likes to spend time with her niece and nephew! She also loves to travel and enjoy the Bay Area’s dynamic scene.
