We’re thrilled to share that one of our newest borrowers, Steel Rail, a cafe that honors Oakland’s storied past and celebrates the people of Oakland in the heart of Jack London Square, is hosting their Grand Opening Celebration on Tuesday, October 13.
Today, the Office of Community Services (OCS) announced that OBDC Small Business Finance, a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI) headquartered in Oakland received a $800,000 grant from the Community Economic Development (CED) program.
In describing the manufacturing aspect of the business, Mary says “No one profits unless everyone profits.”
OBDC is proud to have joined the signatories of the Small Business Borrowers Bill of Rights. This group of small business lenders, both nonprofit and for-profit, have committed to adhere to responsible business lending principles.
