After going through a comprehensive and thoughtful rebranding process, OBDC Small Business Finance changed our name to Main Street Launch. Main Street Launch will continue innovating at the intersection of small business and community economic development, pursuing strategies that leverage our small business expertise and capital as a catalyst for an inclusive and diverse local economy through entrepreneurship and jobs. From our work over the last 37 years, Main Street Launch was born.
Main Street represents where everyday folks come to do business, whether it’s as an entrepreneur, an employee, or a customer. Main Streets are lively areas where communities come together. Our work along the Broadway corridor, supporting over 90 businesses that have established a thriving retail district, reflects the possibility of Main Street.
Launch implies forward momentum. It’s about launching a new business or launching growth in an existing businesses. It’s about launching neighborhoods and communities so they are vibrant and provide opportunities for their residents. Launch also describes our organizational culture – we are always thinking of new, innovative ways to achieve our mission and responding to current needs, so we often launch new initiatives and strategies within our programs.
